European Commission approves EUR 724m non-reimbursable funds for highways to Romania

Romanian Transport Ministry announced that European commission has granted EUR 724 million non-reimbursable funds to Romania for building two highways by 2013. Nadlac-Arad highway and Orastie-Sibiu highway are going to be part of Pan-European transport corridor IV. According to Minister Anca Boagiu Romania now reached the maximum absorption rate of EU funds in this and two following years in the value of EUR 2 billion allocated to road infrastructure projects.
