The total amount of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the economy of Ukraine over the period of its independence has been 72% formed of EU investment, Chairman of the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Anatoliy Kinakh said at a Ukrainian-Belgian economic forum in Kyiv on Monday. “While politicians are debating the pace and results of European integration, Ukrainian and EU entrepreneurs are doing their business. The total trade turnover with EU countries is reaching 30%,” he said.
The head of the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs said that the presence of the political leadership of Ukraine and Belgium at the forum confirmed that one of the principal components of Ukraine’s European integration was the deepening of public-private partnership.
