Positive Bulgaria’s June Current Account Balance

According to Bulgaria’s Central Bank increased transportation and tourist services shrank country’s trade deficit in June and turned the current account balance positive. Surplus of the current account amounted to EUR 117 million in June 2010, compared to the negative, EUR 3.8 million, balance in May 2010.

Bulgaria’s accumulated deficit for the first half of 2010 is reported to be EUR 623.6 million or 1.8% of GDP, whereas in the same period of 2009 the deficit was 4% GDP.
