Ukraine Will Sell Odeskyi, Turboatom, Makiivskiy in 2013

Ukraine plans to sell a 75.2 percent stake in VAT Odeskyi Pryportovyi Zavod, the country’s second-biggest ammonia producer, and 99.6 percent of VAT Turboatom, Ukraine’s biggest turbine maker, along more than 200 other assets next year, according to the State Property Fund.

Ukraine wants to sell state turbine maker Turboatom OJSC next year as the government prepares for talks with Russia on cutting the price of imported natural gas. The government wants to meet Russian counterparts halfway and sell off state assets that interest Russians. The government of Prime Minister Mykola Azarov is seeking to raise $1.35 billion from state-asset sales next year, according to the 2013 state budget.
