Mr Mikolič has been entrepreneur for more than 30 years since he had earned university degree. He has extensive leadership experience in business valuation, financial advisory, corporate restructuring, strategic advisory, NPLs and private equity/venture capital management. He is fluent in English, Croatian, Serbian and conversational Russian and German.

He has completed over 1.600 valuation projects, and he is one of the pioneers in business valuation in Eastern Europe. Registered as a certified business valuator with Slovenian Institute for Auditing and he is member of EACVA, European Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.

He has conducted over 250 due diligences and forensic investigations in which he leverages in-depth expertise in doing business in countries with transition economies.

He has advised on more than 50 company sales and acquisitions with the aim to support executives’ decision-making process on the issues of strategic development, value creation and growth.

He has been involved in transactions of non-performing/performing loans, owned by DUTB or Slovenian merchant banks, either on sell-side or buy-side as Slovenian NPL market started to develop.

He has advised on financial and operational restructuring of over 50 companies, starting with advising Slovenian companies, which lost important markets of Ex-Yugoslavia in the first years of independence. He was also involved in EBRD project Special Restructuring Program in Slovenia. He has also advised several companies on developing corporate and business strategy and on financial restructuring.

He has experience of investments in small and medium-sized companies. He is Founder and Manager of a private equity vehicle dedicated to Bulgaria and used to be Founder and Manager of a private equity fund for Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine. He was also member of investment committee of the third largest Slovene privatization management company and he was involved in developing investment strategy of its investment funds, including development of valuation models.
